happy new year! this year looks to be a good one for jamison and i. he is still working as an electrician, but due to some new laws, it will be required that he goes to school as well. when he moved down here he wanted to get into an apprenticeship program, but none were available. now, it is required that all electricians that do not have their journeyman card are enrolled in an apprenticeship program. his program hasn't started yet, but soon he will be going to school and on his way to becoming a journeyman electrician, which is his career goal. i have started another semester of classes here at apu. it looks like this semester is going to be more challenging that past semesters, but i am enjoying most of my classes. i am still working in the theater and looking forward to some wonderful shows this semester including the sound of music, the importance of being earnest and joseph and the amazing technicolor dream coat. for the summer, i am looking into being an intern with world vision, which would give me some experience that will be helpful if i end up working for a mission organization in the future. it is not a paid internship, so i am still looking for a summer job. overall, this year looks to be a promising and joyful one.

we had our interviews for guatemala on wednesday and they went well. we won't hear any official news until the 9th of december. it's all up to God now. we are going home this weekend (18th-20th) for thanksgiving with allan. harlan, angeline, and allan are all moving back to wisconson next week so angeline can be closer to her family. allan and harlan are going to work for angeline's father, i belive doing construction. it looks to be a great opportunity for both of them. since allan is not going to be home for thanksgiving, we are going up this weekend to celebrate with him. for actual thanksgiving, we are going, along with my parents) to oregon to spend time with my great- grandmother, who is 98. it will be a lot of driving, but we are looking forward to that. please pray for safe travel for all of us.

hello. things have been busy here this past week... we are applying to go to guatemala for a month this summer for missions through apu. we decided we would apply on wednesday and the applications were due on monday. we got it all together. now we are waiting to see what God is going to do with this. as some of you know, missions are something that we have been wanting to do for a while. we didn't think we would be going until after i graduated, but God's plan may be different. please pray for us during this time. we want to go, but it is going to be expensive. pray that God would show us his will and how he plans to pay for all of this. thank you very much.
